Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss has let the world know that he doesn’t feel like paying coach Phil Jackson $12 million next season. Jeanie Buss, the daughter of Jerry, who also happens to be a vice president for the Lakers and Jackson’s longtime girlfriend, says Jackson isn’t planning to end his coaching career , according to ESPN. Jeanie Buss says the 64-year-old Jackson will be coaching "somewhere" next season and that he isn’t mentally ready to leave coaching

Soon-to-be New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorev, the second-richest man in Russia, supposedly wanted Duke basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski to take over the Nets next season but Coach K made it clear that he doesn’t want to leave his lovely life. Also on the list for Prokhorev are Boston Celtics associate head coach Tom Thibodeau and former New York Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy.

The New Jersey Nets will have lots of transitions to go through this summer: a new owner, some new players, and a new coach. The New York Daily News has it that Boston Celtics associate head coach Tom Thibodeau is now at the top of the list to take over the Nets now that Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski has made it clear that he doesn’t want to take an NBA job.

The New York Knicks need a center and Plan A, Marcus Camby (notes) , is supposedly getting close to re-signing with the Portland Trail Blazers , according to ESPN. So the Knicks have apparently been talking about trying to snag the 7-foot backup center for the Chicago Bulls , Brad Miller (notes) , according to the New York Post. The 34-year-old Miller averaged 8.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 23 minutes this season and played in all 82 games for the Bulls.
