No one can criticize the Knicks for not giving their all in trying to bring LeBron James to New York. As it turned out, the Miami Heat had too many aces (no Florida income tax, warm winters and skilled recruiters in star forward Dwyane Wade and team president Pat Riley) for the Knicks to overcome.
